Williams/Bally made this game in February of 1985.
Due to the popularity of the 1972 Fireball which was an
electro-mechanical game, they decided to do a remake that consisted of
2,000 games. This version does not use the "zipper" flippers as
found in the 1972 game, but it's still a very popular game with a unique
layout such as no outlanes, a 3 ball multi-ball, and a very hard skill
shot for bonus points.
